Welcome to Country, also known as the Traditional Welcome, allows the Traditional Owners of the Darug land to give their blessing for Dancing the Dream Awake to take place on their land.


Dance Experience
Medicine Drum Live (Earthdance USA)
FUSING the latest cutting edge styles of progressive electronic dance music with foundations of deep tribal rhythms, Medicine Drum have been described as the "techno-shamans of electronica... where ancient meets modern and organic meets digital." Featuring Chris Deccker, Alex Newman & Suzanne Stirling on vocals, Medicine Drum launches the band’s 2005 Australian tour at Dancing the Dream Awake.


D-Nox (Sprout Music & Plastic Park, Germany)
A unique infusion of many flavours of electronic music, including progressive, tribal, trance, and techno. Precise skills on the decks, an expert sense of track selection and a unique on-stage charisma give D-Nox the ability to transform any usual party into an electronic carnival.

Kotaro (Equinox Japan)
One of the pioneers of the electronic and dance movement in Japan in the early 90’s with seminal party producers Equinox, Kotaro’s musical repertoire ranges through from minimal ambient to funky psychedelic dance beats with his distinctive Tokyo twist. 2005 will see Kotaro’s

Sally Doolally (Plastik Park/Transient UK)
Born in the UK and currently living in Hamburg, Sally Doolally has been seen and heard stoking up dance floors all around the planet. For 4 years she represented USTA records Israel as a label now represents Plastik Park as UK label DJ. In 2004 she for released a compilation through Transient records; ‘Sally Doolally Trancexpressions’. Renowned for her sexy funky sets, Sally is a big favourite on Australian dancefloors.

Avidd (Universal Language, Earthdance Melbourne)
One of Melbourne’s talented progressive DJ’s and organiser of the legendary Solstice festivals, Dave O plays an eclectic blend of driving dance and up tempo beats which were featured on the recent Earthdance JJJ mix up.

Medicine Man (Return to the Source, Higher Octave USA)
Founder of Earthdance International and Medicine Drum, Chris Deckker plays an eclectic global fusion of eastern and western sounds with modern electronica.

Beauty and the Beat (Kamaflage UK/Germany)
Beauty & the Beat are a fresh back to back DJ team based in Germany whom are well known individually as DJs Sally Doolally and Goetzlich. In camouflage as Beauty & the Beat, Sally and Goetz play a fusion from both their DJ styles, culminating in sexy, groovy, progressive beats.

Fallon (Newcastle)
One of Australia’s latest emerging female artists, Fallon mixes her own unique style of psychedelic breaks and is set to produce her own tracks in 2005.

Mark Dynamix (Tech Logic Sydney)
Regarded as Sydney's no.1 support DJ for touring international artists, Mark Dynamix is one of Australia’s highest profile local artists with an impressive 22 mix CD compilations under his belt. Mark describes his style as a fusion of electro-house and tech-house and his sets are always varied and feature new and interesting combinations of styles, alongside innovative sampling and scratching.

Alex Newman (U.K)
Keyboard player, electronic music producer, DJ, and artist Alex Newman spins vinyl 'a funky deep house and mid-tempo breaks set',
