The prices continue to rise in Atlanta.Little bit too pricey. But anyway good luck with that one in Atlanta i think it would be fun.

bigger venue = more expenses

Bigger venue = more crowd = more income = lesser entry fee per head

We're still working on the 'bigger crowd' part of the equation

i honestly dont think $20 is too much for a ten hour event where you can dance your penny-pinchin ass off, and get free chai/breakfast and 2 rooms of sick soundscapes/deco and non-stop friendly vibe (+smoking outdoors) .

really, thats only $2 an hour....
if only you knew all the efforts that goes into these events....

"Bigger venue = more crowd = more income = lesser entry fee per head:"
i say bollocks.

bigger venue = more deco, more security, more rent, more blacklights...hehehe (and any extra money just goes into the next party... ATLPSY always stepping it up a notch!)
not to mention that we all want to support the new venue, it will continue to evolve just as the older space next door used to. the owners are progressively improving and working on streamlining the space, which is truly unmatched in atlanta, considering the all-night slammage, outdoor smoking area, and down to earth vibes,

not to mention BYOB is a plus

in regards to everyone who sweats on paying for parties, try putting one on sometime....

ahem, my .02 well spent.

I agree! $20 every now and then is no problem. Not to mention, it helps tremendously having the water cooler! Thanks for that, guys! Between free water refills and BYOB, at NYE, I saved that extra money in not having to pay a lot during the night!

I personally don't mind paying a little more every now and then to ensure Atlpsy keeps 'em coming!

indeed what Monkey said! we have been working very hard to grow a deep and real trance scene in Atlanta. Sure we could grow it really fast but I doubt it would retain the quality of the experience we have been able to create so far.

We are lucky to have such a great venue and the owners love our scene and are working with us to make it the best it can be.

on another note the tea room is going to be super sweet for this party, I want to do a Mad Hatter tea table

we will have mayan hot cocoa to get the night started, chai, ginger/honey tea and organic fruit and (hopefully) a hot organic breakfest around 4 to help you get through the night.

peace

I can personally attest to the fact the organization at the Atlanta Psy gatherings are the best I have seen in the US. great deco along with beautiful touches
like a chai and hookah camp where you can get things free or at very nominal prices (not seen at most other gatherings). Orgs are very hospitable to out of towners too specially MICHAEL!! I hope that you remember the Indian guy you helped out buddy:)

The orgs really do slog their asses off in throwing the gathering and thats why they dont do it too often as it takes a lot out of your life in terms of energy. I am really looking forward to be able to attend their gathering again in the recent future. Best of luck guys..may you improve with every gathering.
