The main reason why I bought "Dustynation part two" was because of the two new Ticon-tracks, and to be honest they weren’t as good as I was hoping for. Listening to the samples of the "Texas Magnusson/Spin Cycle" EP and having their liveset and the latest New Disco Science Alliance material in mind, I was really expecting something out of the ordinary, but both "Cosmic Bowling" and the remix of "Zugstufe" where pretty standard in my opinion. Well, they’re ok, and certainly better than the average progressive track, but I was expecting more from Ticon.
FREqs "Time Stretcher" was unfortunately somewhat a filler, and I guess he likes that "This is the timemachine" sample, cause this is the 2nd track where he’s used it (also used it in "DFF" on "A Day After" from ZMA) – and I agree that he’s perhaps been releasing just a bit too much copy/paste material the last 6 months. If you’ve been living under a rock the last year, and haven’t heard any of his other material, I guess you’ll like it though
I quite liked the tunes from Sonnenvakuum and Threshold Production, and "Nordic Fury" was a nice comeback for the Swedish percussion-masters Etnoscope. Excellent tribal percussion and groovy as hell – come on, bring us a new album with this
Good compilation from Dance’N’Dust, with a quite diverse mix of housey grooves, darkish minimal tunes and fluffy morning progressive. Certainly worth the money, but not a must-have release.

Great stuff. Special mention to the Itaitaiko track.
