how would i go about changing the "cutoff" value of the delay - each delay (lets say X3) to be less open and therefore more muffled...
which delay plugin has this built in?

ya bro - ohmboyz has that preset - simple+damped. but i wanna understand what it is that makes it so.

check the waves supertap, it has filters on both the taps and the feedback. a nice trick is to put a reverb in an insert after the delay, so the source is not affected, but the delay goes to the background.
