i get this really high static noise comming from my speakers.

when i plug in my headphones to the p.c it's ok, no noise, when i plug in my speakers there is alot of electronic noise => i guess it's becuase the amplifier.
now, when i play around with the stereo cable connected to my output the noise changes. and when my CPU is running something the noise suddenly get's much lower...

what can i do to fix this? getting a high quality stereo cable  "אם חסינות לרעש גבוהה יותר" or(sorry for the hebrew) or what? how can i ground my speakers btw? that outhga fix it...

Chances are that it's really u'r cable, because you say you play around with it and it changes, also if your speakers are connected straight into the soundcard, you might have a problem with the jack in the soundcard itself, you can clean it with alcohol. BTW, a few days ago i bought some new cables for my stereo, before i had cables that cost 0.25 dollars per foot, now i got cables that cost 2.75 dollars per foot, the difference in sound quality is unbelievable. They guy who sold it to me said they had cables which cost up to 300 dollars per foot. So the point is that the cables that you use with your system are one of the most important components of the system.
So cables also have brand names, one of the best is "monster cable", i think you should have it in israel.
About grounding u'r speakers, you don't ground speakers since there's no way you can be electrified from them.

Well, you can kind of ground speakers.. you need to have a soundcard that has balanced inputs / outputs, and a amp/pair of monitors that will support them, ideally.. but there's alot of ways to reduce noise, try reading the very good articles here:

but still, err...

300$/foot you can't be serioues :) that was an exaguration right? :D lol, cable made out of diamond fiber ;)
i might go check into that cables stuff though, i have a hunch it will really help. thanks.
