Daft Punk are top notch, actually. But their music is generally house tempo, from what I have heard. The ducked bass is a little friendlier and groovier at that tempo. Plus they use more k-B-k-B basslines which give you more release time on the ducker. It can be monstrously hard to set a ducker to release on the second 16th note of a kbbb pattern, and if the kick is too long, it's actually impossible. |
