how should sample jitter occure without a conversion? the signal is just digitally routed through the interface...
as for my other question, its answered already...optical/toslink is not that good because the conversion from electrical to optical & back can introduce jitters.
dont know how far the jitter-correction of the dac-1 would work for this, but its defenately not worth the adapter then...

You'll go from your Motu's rca spdif into the benchmark using the included adapter and also get yourself a descent digital rca cable of small length if possible. Any jitter produced by your motu will be eliminated by the dac-1.
End of story.
