If i get it right what you mean, it's not any different than downloading or recording anything to the internal disc.

Absolutely no problem here.

ok, thanks guys, so i guess i just have to set it up in my preferences for the computer or whatevere program im recording with. ill give it a shot. peace |

Just set your preferred destination folder on the external disc on the Preferences -> Folders menu of your recording and/or downloading software.

Ok, thanks Alex and qwerty. havent managed to try yet, no time!
but i will soon, hopefully later on today.
@qwerty; Im using macs/logic7&8 and live5. do you know if they recommend against it? thanks |

JUGGERNAUT, the problems that can occur are related to the fact you can get into "bad cables, bad contacts" issues.
what mac computer are you using ? |
