Cytopia.org proudly present the exclusive digital release of the 2007 Artist Competition tracks.

Music can be an expression of pure creativity and passion coming from a place where we are connected, excited, inspired and free. Our hearts and minds resonate in awe of the divine, as it manifests as our own consciousness.
This release represents our interest in music as an expression of something beautiful, inspiring and ever new. This is a compilation of the most well produced and grooving tracks sent to us as part of the Cytopia Artist Competition. One hundred and fifty artists sent tracks of which 17 were selected and mastered for this release.
We would like to thank everyone who sent us music, and would like to encourage people to be creative and express that which needs to be manifest in some form or other.
All tracks have been mastered in the bitstream studio by Prahlad in Hamburg, with some help and moral support from me, Servellen. Except for Castlevania which was mastered by Random, and adjusted for volume by Prahlad to match the other tracks.
We would also like to thank Dr. Spook for his input into this year’s competition as a judge. We also remind labels that these tracks are available for non exclusive sublicensing, as part of our efforts to further promote the artists and the Cytopia.org concept.

it was fun participating,
i really liked leenuz and virtual light tracks, they are very well produced tracks which show alot of talent.
the quality shure grew from the competition two years ago,
keep it up cytopia |

Yes, the quality is really good.
There are some more tracks from this project to be released soon.
And to the artists who were released, you can login to Cytopia and in My Downloads you can download the WAV of the master of the track.
To all others, you can listen to the previews for free, and you can support our artists and.......

After listening to the rest of the songs in the competition I realized that i should be pretty satesfied with making it to the top ten =)
Also a big up for Virtual Light! Awesome track and worth the 1st place!

Cytopia 2007 Artist Competition Results with Notes:
1. Virtual light – Castelvania 290 Points

This track is the outright winner because it rocks, its a solid driving track with good spirit a wicked gated vocal, and top super phat production. It has also been great to chat with Vince and we hope to see much more from him in the future.
2. Te-Tuna - Halhissa live mix 285 Points
We were impressed with the composition and production with uplifting melodies representing the fluffier side of trance. The mastered track is soon to be released on Cytopia.org
3. Leenuz - Red Eye Warrior 277 Points

One of our absolute favorites for it's originality and groove, this track has balls and spirit, bringing abstract minimalism and psychedelic groove to a new high, we invite you to check this track out, congratulations to Leenuz, who we hope to hear more from in future.
4. Ovnimoon - Wake up 274 Points
Wicked ultra deep sounds from Ovnimoon who expressed his wishes to not have this track released with Cytopia.org, I suspect it will be on his up and coming album...
5. Frost Raven - Tabula Rasa 272 Points
Another wicked track, which was not sent to us for mastering Where are you Frost Raven ??
6. AquaFeel – Trust 265 Points
A very minimal progressive sound that we all liked, apparently another label also liked it and is releasing it exclusively on CD...
7. Sonitusmaku - Unsane Visions 260 Points

Grooving temp of 133 BPM gives some room for the more subtle qualities of trance, with original sound and a good groove. One half of Sonitusmaku is MetzAnima who has other releases on Cytopia.org
8. Reactive - Midnight Express 245 Points

Expressing the night time sound, Reactive sent us two great tracks and is the only artist to have both the entries in the top 20. Great production, psychedelic sounds with rocking beats.
9. Getafix - Playground rmx 245 Points

One of the more emotional tracks sent to us, with harmonic layered melodies made to make you smile. That with good production and composition sold us on this one.
10 Bratex – Nightshot 245 Points

Pushing the raver envelope is the comment Prahlad made
Original sound combining conventional psytrance with more raver like sounds, giving birth to an original sound, which is more than welcome.
11. Static Nation - Shiga-on 243 Points
An overall good track which was not sent to us for mastering, which means we did not release it
12. Neuroimpact – Alone in deja vu 240 Points

The first good entry, this track stunned us with the beautiful intro, and killer build up with subtle layered melodies and interesting sample. We hope to hear more from Neuroimpact in future!
13. Reactive - Quake is fake 236 Points

The second entry by Reactive, seems to be inspired by Quake the game, and represents the night side of trance.
14 Aodiooiboa – nanu 235 Points
Another good track worth the listen, and we did master the track, but the artist did not get back in touch with us, so we could not release it on Cytopia.org. Where are you Aodiooboa ??
15. Bassid - Too far 235 Points

One of the few progressive tracks entries, Bassid has been around for a while, with a sold progressive sound and good production and a style helps him to go too far
16. Panta Rei - You are Free 230 Points

One of the most full on entries, with a beautiful piano intro then morphing into a Bill Hicks sample and full psychedelic drama. Also on his up and coming Album release.
17. High Pulse – Ibiza Dance 230 Points

The most built up track entry, the sound really morphs and develops throughout the track to a high and euphoria best described by the name... Ibiza Dance...
18. Organix - The Blade 230 Points

Deep progressive sound, these guys developed their sound very quickly and have been playing live in Brazil. I am a fan already, and look forward to hearing more music from Organix.
19. djtuk - failure to communicate 230 Points

djTuk has developed a sound he can call his own, with full on israeli sound that is still original and uplifting, this entry expresses the more funky side of full on psytrance.
20. Bandarlog - The Lizard of Oz 229 Points
The only ambient entry we decided to release, the Lizard of Oz chilled us out and grounded us after listening to all 150 entries. Soon to be released on Cytopia.org
