Cytopia.org 2007 Artist Competition
*Styles: Psytrance/Goatrance Progressive trance, Ambient, Psy-electro crossover
*Top 10 track entries to be mastered professionally
*Top 10 track entries to be released on Cytopia.org
*Top 10 artists to be promoted as winning the competition
*In cooperation with Geomagnetic Records, the top ten tracks are very likely to be released on CD -but ultimately this is dependent on Quality of entries!
*Eventual CD release would be non-exclusive. And tracks would thereby be available for other licensing opportunities.
*Winners will receive the mastered tracks, as well as percentage of profit from CD and online sales. At this point we cannot guarantee an advance payment.
*Promotion has been chosen as a prize rather than a cash prize because promotion is important for the success of artists contributes to eventual success, subsequent releases and live bookings. Promotion will be done via Mushroom magazine, we are discussing promotional opportunities with Sonic Traveler and Revolve magazine. Cytopia can also support artists with online promotion with links to the virtual album and banner links.
*Cytopia 2006 Artist competition was a great success, the top 5 tracks were mastered by Colin OOOD and and 3 of those tracks were sublicensed and released on CD at YSE and the artists were payed an advance payment. All 5 tracks were released on Cytopia.org and the winning artists were announced and promoted in Mushroom magazine.
*Deadline for entries is December 11th, with releases scheduled for the new year.
*Entries will be judged by several judges who will be announced later.
*Entries should be sent via a file sending service, in high quality mp3 format to artists_cy +(AT)+ cytopia.org (format is to avoid junk mail, but hopefully you can figure out the right address from this ?

Entries are starting to come in, some nice tracks. If you produce groovy resonating tunes and want to be promoted and released, or know someone that does.... dont forget to enter one of your trax to the competition.....

Update:
*The number one track will win 100 EUR prize money and get a high end 3D animated music video made by Doctor Spook usable as a promotional tool that will be eventually released on a DVD compilation from GeoMagnetic

Please send tracks via a file send service, and send the link to artists_cy +(AT)+ cytopia.org. I noted the address in this way so the evil bots will not spam us.
We have received some nice entries so far.

Some one entered the track NeuroImpact "Alone" via a filesend service but they did NOT leave their contact email!!
