Cyprus in the dark side of trance.

For more than 2 years now i ve noticed that in Cyprus 99%of the trance parties have followed the dark and twisted side of trance ,even now at christmas there are 2 parties at the same day with similar sound .
What about the psy groovy and psy progressive side of trance? Are there any trancers in Cyprus who want to enjoy something more melodic and groovy in trance? |

There are also other kinds of trance beiing played, I can say at the same level of what you hear here, but their promoters do not announce them in this forum.
Dark_elf could you make some recommendations on dark artists? I am not well informed of the whole scene.. To be honest I find Azax, Menog, Abomination quite dark.. Ok Menog maybe has changed a bit lately.. still not sure..
As for the 2 events same night, the events are in a different city plus the style is slightly different so it is not of great importance.. From this year and on we will be having I think more events on every day.

Yes there are different kind of psy trance being played in the island, not only 'dark' as u like to call it...
And besides that, I have to agree with dark elf, i dont find most of the acts performed in Cy 'dark'....
Powerfull, yes, but not dark.... Except from 1-2....
Plus, not every promoter is registered to isratrance in order to promote and announce their parties...
Anyways... Cyprus scene is still small...
Is getting bigger and bigger. More ppl are introduced in to the cyprus scene everyday!

i dont know many things about cyprus, or cyprus psy scene coz i've never been there (although i would like a lot and will for sure one day) , and maybe it is small as CHP said, but i've heard that generally there's no real problem with authorities. In Athens for ex things with this scene tend to be difficult...
And about dark in our city not many things but we're trying
anyway Cy High a very good example of really DARK music for me is Parahalu, but also Deviant Species or some russians projects

Authority problems come only through some teams that do bad competition. Luckily not very often.
What is not so good about the scene is the closing hours in Winter time, that really suck. During the holiday seasons though and at the outdoor partys, that is not a problem.
