Following the success of the first edition of Cuzco IntiRaymi SUNFEST in 2011, we are doing it again. A no-nonsense electronic music dancing festival, Friday June 22 - Sunday June 24, in a beautiful location in Urubamba, Sacred Valley of the Incas, with two dance-floors and a Chill Out. The "Inti" Trance stage will be blasting various genres of Psytrance and Progressive (6 Live! + 20 DJ sets); the "Killa" Club stage will shake to banging Techno and Tech-House at night and switch to the lower BPM "Raymi" Chill Out mode during the sunny hours of the day. The Cuzco IntiRaymi SUNFEST takes place just outside Urubamba, Sacred Valley, in an easily accesible location by public transport at any hour (directions at the bottom). There is indoor space to chill out, rest and recover from the cold at night. Both dance floors are in the open and warmed by many fires kept going throughout the night, but it can get cold, you are in the Andes.
Gates open at 2PM, Friday 22 June. Music starts lightly at sunset and continues until Sunday noontime. That\\\'s 2 days & 2 nights of music and dancing. Gates close at 2PM, Sunday 24 June.
NO food or beverage is allowed into the event. There will be food stalls of various kinds, including vegetarian, and three bars with hot and cold drinks.
Free camping area (we do not accept responsibility) and there are many hostals/hotels nearby if you prefer.
Medical assistance and professional security will be present for the duration of the event.
Main dance floor under the blue sky; bring warm clothes that you can wear in layers for the night, and you take the layers off during the day. There will be LOTS of FIRE and indoor space to warm up, but remember it\\\'s COLD at night and WARM during the day. There will be plenty of shade, but bring sunblock just in case.
There will be a Fire Spinning Circle open to the public both nights, and FREE fuel will be provided to qualified fire spinners (no drunks).
DIRECTIONS; Ecocat Restaurant, Urubamba, Sacred Valley, it\\\'s easily accesible by public transport: The place is called ECOCAT, located 2km east of the Urubamba gas station (grifo) on the main Sacred Valley road, going towards Calca, before Yucay. Go past the San Augustin hotel about 500yds.
*There is a dirt street on the north side of the road (left if you are coming from Urubamba) marked by a green sign saying "ECOCAT RESTAURANT Y HOSPEDAJE"; it'll be marked by colored ribbons and we'll hang a Nirvana Airlines sign as well.
*If coming from Urubamba there will be a gas station called Señor de Huanca, on your right 100yds before the sign on the opposite side. If coming from Calca/Pisac, there is a speed bump 10yds before the sign on your right. Take the dirt road for 300 yards: Party Time!
*Buses colectivos and taxis from Cuzco for Urubamba operate 6AM-6PM, leaving from Calle Pavitos. A "moto" from Urubamba to Ecocat costs about 3soles. You can share a taxi between 4 from Cuzco for about 80-120 at any hour. (Taxi Cuzco 084-222-000.)
**If you don't speak Spanish, the best would be for you to copy the following and show it to the taxi/moto driver: "Restaurante Ecocat, a 2Km del grifo de Urubamba, rumbo Calca, 50mts depués del grifito "Senor de Huanca", entrada lado norte de la pista, letrero Ecocat verde y blanco."
