Can u guys explain why when open the cutoff the release also opens (or it seems) even if u have a short release on the ADSR?

do you have some sort of tailing effect (reverb. chorus, etc) on the channel so that the more pronounced mid/high frequencies are feeding the effect more to make the tail seem longer?

this very simple, u take sylenth and have a bass kinda sound short attack and decay, longer sustain and small release and i start to play with the filter cuttof to open the sound and it seems to open not just only in frequency but also in release, maybe i should lower the sustain,have to try it, 'm not that good at synthesis, the terms are kinda difficult for me.

that's much better than guessing around like we do now.
but anyway, my guess is, that there's a high pass filter (eq) on that sound and turning up the cutoff lets more of the release through because it's not being filtered out by the hpf. |

I got this effect in sylenth when I had a mod env (with long release) linked to the cutoff |
