Hey guys, I got another question for you all Can anyone give me a good recomendation for a program that I could use for cutting up / chopping up audio such as vocals? Ive heard ReCycle is pretty good, anybody use something different? If not, gimme some tips on how to use it

unfortunately none of them are free... but I think there is a beta version of liveslice, as it isn't released yet. I've used the program in buzz and now there's a vst version.

awesome tool.

personally I'd go for fxpansion guru, but it's quite expensive.           soundcloud.com/epsylohm

Audition (old Cool edit pro)is great to cut samples .....and mutch more stuff

yes cool edit pro is a great tool for such stuff!

usually, i make my chopping directly in the sequencer's audio track. but it depends if you need to alter pitches after chopping etc. then you probably would like to chop using one of the above mentioned progs, and then import the chopped parts into your sampler.

Thanks everybody Its funny....I had Cool Edit Pro just lying around, I didnt know it was a good tool for this kind of thing, im gonna install it right now.

As for the other programs that sideFXed posted, ill try and see which of these I can find, thanks again for your help people, its really appreciated!

i use Goldwave, it is basic but very good!
maybe you should check it.. it is free..

i too chop mostly inside my seqeuncer, and if individual ones then need tampering i open them in a wave editor.

yeah my list is more suited for mangling inside your host with slicepoints. recycle and sample editors are more of an offline process for me.           soundcloud.com/epsylohm
