Cut Down Vocals in Pychedelic/goa/Progressive Trance . i am tired of hearing Voices . Normally listen Psycedelic for Mind Soothing . |

A well placed sample can be quite nice in a track...but thats rare, most of the used samples are rather stupid and anoying... |

The thing is, it's cropping up in other subgenres as well. Samples are in progressive too. Listen to the new Fusi & Johnson track on the latest Flow compilation. It's got samples from Eifel65's 'Blue' ... :S (gasp)

there are 2 ways to see this ... one yours and the other that trance is being percieved as music made by machines with hardly any human element... and vocals, if used well, add just that required touch...look at the direction all the big acts are going |

i don't mind vocals as much as voice samples. nowadays it seems a track is not complete without some sample. Sometimes these are used to cover shady moments... good tracks don't need a voice talking about an intergalatic jail in saturn, imo they should be the cherry on top and something to use sparingly... Some work really well, some... you just wonder... that's how I feel about it anyway

I personally want to hear less human voices, and hear other beings sing..by which I mean whales, birds, wind, quasar emissions. Have you ever heard a recording of a whale song? It's incredible, and very haunting..and trippy too. |

No, please no! Sample voices are great thing in psytrance, you just have to find out whas crap and whats good, which is quiete easy nowadays. When u see some .il artist and u expecting voices in his tracks, u can most likely skip such a track. Or if you are aware of some girl singing in a track. Same goes here, SKIP
But i can tell you thousand of tracks with vocal samples which are excelent just becouse of those voices.. My latest favourite

if it has a mass of singing, well the commercial type of singing it isnt trance...
i think a track could have nice vocals if processed so psychedlically it becomes a morphed undescriable scary yet inducing sound....but no one has done that yet
otherwise that shit which IM makes or whatever like that, just sucks..it isnt psy trance...its just dance with bad vox

I second that. And about the voicemanipulating you mentioned... It has been done, just not in psytrance.

If the vocals are good in the right time i thing they feet.But if someone artist of trance want to become a singer it is good to stop play trance.Psycedelic with Vocals all the way of song is just another crap of the artist.
