Sometimes the best thing to do when you are stuck in a rut is to just stop making music for a couple days or even a week. Its good for clearing the mind out.

Listening to different musical styles helps a lot too, styles that you don't listen to normally. Get a few old jazz or blues records, or maybe some opera. Some great inspiration can come from things that have nothing to do with psy, trance and a repetitive kick drum!

Problem:
*lack of inspiration

Possible solutions:
*Go on holidays and you should come back with a different mind, full of inspiration but make sure that it will be a good holiday.

*Spend some more time with girlfriend.

*Do things that you've never done before.           "Great things are only possible with outrageous requests." Thea Alexander

Try using different tools/equipment to give you new ideas? try making a style of music you dont normally make. (ie: why not try making a tekhouse track or two), not for the sake of making a track like that, but to get your mind open to new ideas/sounds and out of the rut.

Listen to other styles of music, take a break from music / music making for a few days if not a week or two, get yourself away from it for awhile.

take a vacation from your present self and chill it'll all come back ....................just a passing phase

realise your own self ....... thats what i do for my hard times though not making mzk but think it should help in all situations .......................
