it's impossible to answer this question. some people start to use something because that's what their friends use, or their favorite producer, or just because they happen to chose it randomly. there are plenty of people on this forum who use ableton, reaper, fruity loops, even renoise.

one is not really better than the other. it just depends on what clicks with particular person. but they are all equally capable...           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

People use Cubase because they like it.
People use Logic because they like it.
People use Ableton because they like it.
People use Fruityloops because they like it.
People use Reaper because they like it.
People use Reason because they like it.
etc...etc...etc...

If you use logic and you like it, keep using it. All of these programs are fine for making music, just use one that lets you get done what you are trying to get done. You can make great music with all of them it's up to you to decide which one works best for you...in short.

It's better to just pick one and run with it, you're better off mastering one than messing around with too many.           ~Airyck~

imo, not everyone, but alot, of people using cubase do it because they started out in an easy-to-get cracked version + multiple vst's. Later on then buying the damn thing when its upgraded. ( did it myself with sx3, then went on buying C5). Went on an got reaper instead though. never looked back

Logic i dont know much about, but comparing is hard, they are as dark shiva says, both killer daw's.

Both Cubase and Logic are great. None of them is going to inhibit you from making great music. So don't worry about which one is better, just get better at using Logic (which you already have).
Speaking for my self I prefer Logic cause I've been using it for ages, it is the most "logical" software for my way of thinking/working and the Logic synths and analog synth sampler instruments, are my favourite sound sources, as far as software is concerned.

Our first LP was made entirely in Logic 8, using nothing but Logic 8 native synths and plug ins

As the new stuff we have on www.myspace.com/discohooligans although I have used some freeware LiveCut and KT for some of the effects in there.

Peace out.

Audio and MIDI editing in Cubase are better IMO, but in the end it's whatever works for you... they both sound great.

yes, thats truth.

One funny thing ive saw sometime ago, was the sound diference between cubase and fruity loops: VST Instruments sounds really better in cubase/nuendo. To compare, i make a equal project in both hosts, same presets and VSTi

I never did something like using cubase and logic, any of u guys did such thing?
