I've serious problems with CPU usage in Cubase.

It gets corrupted in every session (+1h) even I try to prefer cubase's own vst plugins and inserts.

Alesis iO|2 Portable (with the highest latency)
E4500 2,2ghz C2D

- manufacturer drivers
- updated drivers
- multiprocessor enabled from cubase
- this has happened with every computer i've owned

more details?
any suggestions?

Maybe you should try and test some diffrent ASIO drivers. Or perhaps check what kind of processes u have lying in the background while producing. It might not have to do with the CPU alone, it could be a combination of various things.

Last time I had such an issue it happened to be my ASIO driver and the buffer size. CPU would go really messed up while playing the project. As soon as I fixed that, no more cpu overload happened again.           Jesus loves you...
But the rest of us think you're a tranny.

I have this problem alot with ableton live aswell.

and my computer is more than good enough for this type of stuff.

It has to do with latency/buffer size

you somehow gotta get both to be the perfect ammount...wich is hard to figure out, atleast on my part.           SPLINTER

oh goddamit fucking hell and all psygods.

spend a little time with asio setup and it seems to be fixed now on! i see myself as stupido that been using manufacturer's own driver =)

tried asio v2 with guitar also and no notable latency anymore.

journey continues, don't ask how, ask why!

cheers m8s!
