I've had a similiar problem but the solution for me was to change the format characteristics of the file in soundforge. It seems like cubase is having trouble opening some mp3 files that are compressed with certain format characteristics... |

change settings, cubase opens mp3 with no problem, it also exports to mp3 if you want to. anyway if you don´t find that settings option, just convert the voice mp3 sample to .wav and then open it in cubase.
i used to have some similar problem with cubase, if i had cubase opended i couldnt hear anything in windows media player, but after my last hdd formatation that problem seemed to disapear and still can´t find any good reasons why it was happening.
(or maybe you´ve left your cubase cd copy in the car and the heat damaged some vital sectors just kidding heheh) |

Ah, now you talking sense. I assume this is audio CD with samples, so each sample written on trakc it means you need to rip cd first to wav.

i shall do that, what a good program that can do a batch of an entire cd without having to do it one by one? can soundforge?
