Yes mom... of COURSE i use an original copy of Cubase. But these cards even quit on you when Winamp is playing.

It's most likely a PC config problem of some sort and the FW card may well be implicated as it sounds like you might be having problems with IRQs. I have a FW 410 on the laptop and it works fine for me, but I know other people have problems.

Try renaming your VSTPlugins folder and see if it runs ok; if it doesn't crash then you know it's a VST plugin that's causing it.

ok big update - problem seems to be solved... i checked the "release asio in background" and now everything is cool...... yay.
