I ve a latency problem with my Cubase SX software. As far as I m concerned, latency is a delay of the sound heard considering the time when the note was produced. You hit the note and after this delay you listen to the sound. This is not my complaint..on this part I m ok.
Only while I record phrases I have latency. I press my keyboard and listen to the sound propmtly during recording, but the midi clip records the notes with some delay. So, everything I record playing live (with no step sequencer) needs to be re-quantitized. And when I bounce an instrument track to audio, the clip also shows me some significant delay.
If I had a delay only linked to latency regarding playing and listening the ounds I would understand. But the latency here is regarded on the sequencer to wiite the clips while I play the notes, even considering that I listen to what s played in real time.

Anyone has the same problems or sugestions???

Cubase folder, subfolder midi port enabler, second page of the pdf.

Basically create a file in your cubase root with NO EXTENSION called

ignoreportfilter.*

then disable in cubase all [emulated] midi ports. Latency should be gone now.

Sidefxed,

thanks a lot. It worked really fine. In my situation, I only needed to move a file (ignoreportfilter) inside Cubases folder midi port enabler into the main folder. I had no emulated midi turned inside the devices menu dialog.
