Cubase SX production for dummies

http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/Section/id-DUMMIES_SEARCH_RESULT.html?queryText=cubase

Hi,

I'm going to start using 'Cubase SX' for the first time in my life. I've used trackers like FastTracker II in the 90's, but non or very little information is still available inside my head. I've been messing around inside my 'Cubase SX' system for X hours now, and I have accomplished in doing nothing. I might be a bit slow or something, but I find using 'Cubase SX' to be really hard and complicated. I was hoping to find some useful information in this thread about how to get started. I would be really pleased if someone could post some hints and tips to get started when your at absolute scratch- Maybe there's some other threads that could help me get started? 1 2 3 step by step if your a total nOOb. Any helpful advice?
I will and have used the search but can't find the 123 step by step help that I'm seeking.

I appreciate it, peace.

I have a 'Try Before Buy' version of 'Cubase SX', it didn't come with a manual lol
But yeah, your right. ;-) An original version will be bought in the future, have no worries. How much did you pay for your original version?
But this is offtopic.

i don't know about the price of sx, as i'm on sonar studio (the smaller one). its was about 500 swiss francs.

there are smaller cubase versions which you might be able to afford. there's also an academic programme with good prices.           $ exp(j*pi) + 1 = 0. $
