So when i do the panning i use to put it as a dual panner but i have noticed a difference in the character of the sound if in the mixer i do a normal panning to the right and then on the top of the mixer i put the out channel to the left...
whats the difference?
And the other question of the million dollars is....

Whats the diffence between the dual panner and the combined panner>???? what do you guys use?

I can't recall the names but i will try to paint these pan modes.

****|****
Regular pan for mono and stereo channels which controls WHOLE center out signal panning. If you take it to left then WHOLE center signal goes to left, moreover it control center only so if you have stereo channel with different out singal from left and right it will control only the center of it.

|********|
Region pan, controls region of sides pan in stereo only, by setting it to zero (both stereo channels) will hit the center eventhou you have difference in original stereo signal (left not equal to right). AKA mono absolute creation

that's why the signal differs from one more to an other.

|********
*********|
Dual channel pan, does the same as first one but for both stereo channels.

If you read what i wrote and you can understand my poor explanation then you will know whether to use them or not when it's fits the situation.           "there once was a lesbian from Cancun

As far as i understand you try to pan stereo signal and compare it to signal that you put to out as right channel.

As i've said, when you pan you move the center of your signal to side, while you put output to the right you take whole signal(stereo, two channels as one) to side you set it.

I use it when i sidechain or linking in soundcard mixer.           "there once was a lesbian from Cancun

imagine you do the panning to 45 left and then on the top you put the output to the left.... what happens?
is it going to be totally left due to the output or will control only 45% of the left mono/stereo???
thankx you are being very useful
