I can't get surround sound to work, only stereo, even though I have a maya. 7.1 card going from 7 outs into 7 inputs into an amp.
The dvd plays perfect but won't work with cubase sx. Even with all the damn settings on surround everywhere. I just seem to be stuck with one BUS (Bus1 only shows on master output) Therefore I only got stereo.
Do I need a plug in? Is it my hardware?
Am I missing something?????
PLEASE HELP SOMEBODY !!!!!!!
thanks jon ro x |

read the manual...
or, if you have misplaced it
go to Devices/VST connections, then add bus. Then you are rocking...
oh this is sx 2.... not sure about sx 1, I am led to believe surround works much better in 2.

i think there are some problems with taking advantage of surround sound in _dance_ music. One problem is that at parties a lot fo people tend to hug a single speaker....... you dont usually get the best stereo imaging, so getting the most from surround is gonna be even harder.....
I was thinking it could be a lot of fun for very small parties in your own home, and messing around in your studio though...... where you have better control over everything....
I am not sure about getting good plugins either. There are Surround reverbs and mastering tools, no problem. But I havent seen a decent 'surround delay' which is what you want really. |
