Cubase SX...5.1 surround help??

I'd like to produce music in Surround 5.1 using cubase sx. I have a soundblaster live card [ its all I can afford for now ] with 3 stereo ouput channels.
The question: In cubase SX one has to map pairs of the 5.1 [ie rear left and right] to a bus. The bus corresponds to a pair of stereo ouputs on soundcard.
I therefore should have 3 bus's to use with the sblive card. However in cubase sx theres only 1 bus available. ???? What am I doing wrong??
I have another s/card...Is it possible to configure that card also to generate more bus's in cubase sx???
[ Please dont flame me if the question is trivial. Ive just changed sequencers and Im new to cubase [ sx ].]

Hey Bro I have a similiar prob. I have a maya 7.1 surround card but I can only use stereo
I've tried all settings I just seem to be stuck with 1 BUS on master outputs - please help if you come right my e-mail jonrox@mweb.co.za |
