I bought i new laptop, everything was working great cubase was running fine, so i installed a few instruments all, then all of a sudden Cubase began gettin audio drop outs.

Even with one track of audio i seem to get drop outs randomly.

I tried taking all the programs including Cubase off, including deleting any left over registry files as far as i could see. However when i reinsall cubase it still seems to recognise my settings, ie last tracks, etc, and the problem persits.

It seems as if something else is interferring with cubase. Ive disabled anti virus still no luck.

Ive not setup the pc up for audio, as i only have a german copy of xp at the minute and my germans pretty poor.

I cant understand why it did it all of a sudden tho.

Im running a Pentium M 1.73 with 1gb of RAM, a ati 128mb graphics card and audio through a Alesis Photon x25 through the USB port.

Any ideas?

yes .... bugbase the right name for ...... !!
even to change/write the tempo/bpm speed from 120 to what you want to need a 10 min' fight with the program its start from the 'start' ....

we should give a big ... K A F A
to steinberg and his guys .

Sorry but that's kak. If you can't be bothered to work it out (it's on the transport bar ffs!) then read the manual. Even the cracks come with documentation these days.

The whole "bugbase" thing is rubbish too. If Cubase is running fine, then you install some stuff, then Cubase stops working, it's the STUFF you installed that broke it, not Cubase itself.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering
