Cubase SX 2 getting stuck...

hello
ive suddenly begun to have this problem.
sometimes, in random places of the track. It stucks.. the track is being played as normal, but i cant control anything. not close cubase, not press the stop button nothing. this goes like on and off now and then.
anyone had this weird problem? |

i have that problem when my disk cache goes full (the second bar, next to the cpu one), usualy i only see that happening after i regain control (i see a small jump to max and down again when it stops). i think the problem is the RAM but i would like someone to answer me on this too. i have a amd64 3.2ghz and 1gb of ram.
oh and this happens to me in SX3
PS: don't know if yours is the same problem.

i have 1gb of ram and 3,2 ghz too. sounds like we have the sample problem. allthough, that "jump" u talked about i dont know about cause i never have the "Transport-bar" cause its slowing things up quite a bit.
anyone know how to deal with this? |

yeah i recognize it..
sometimes it can be a plugin causing the problem..
i have a few problem childs.. i dunno if its due to intel p4 denomarlization problem, or just error in the plug or maybe cubase, though i run latest version of cubase SX 3 since a while back and i find it pretty stable...

ive installed kxproject (a sound driver) now. i dont know if its compatible to your soundcard. but i dont seem to have that problem i talked about...
maybe it deals with the ram better...

The h2o version of SX2 seems to be working fine, I haven't used Cubase much but decided to have a go, the sound seems to get quite pumping!  Maybe its a RAM problem :/ ??? |
