hi, i want to stretch or compress audiofiles in cubase.
kind of... a kick-line what runs 4 times faster and after it should get slower stepless, until it stops (out of tact/timing)
so..., i recorded the kick midi-file to a sterio audio file.
i tried to stretch/compress with the "manipulate funktion" in cubase.
i saw the waves stretching, but when i listened to it, it was no unique sound. the beat changes to much (noise/crack)
can you tell me another way for doing this?
(with audio files, not midi)
greetings & thank you! |

^^^^^^^Make sure to change the time stretch to something besides standard in the settings. That way it doesn't break up the audio when you stretch it. You can use a higher quality algorithm and then when you stretch it using the "sizing applies timestretch" tool and that should solve the problem.
