I've been an idiot. I've *only* just noticed that I have been working on a project in 44khz 16bit. However, all the bounced audio has been correctly saved at 48khz 24bit and cubase has been downsampling during imports to fit the project settings.
When I attempt to change the project to 48khz 24bit, I get all sorts of messages about converting the wavs. Depending on what options I pick, either the samples all go out of sync, or they play at the wrong speed.
Short of killing the project and reimporting everything at the right sample rate, is there any way to alter the project halfway through?
Thanks. |

hmm, i dunno if cubase can do it automaticly when changing the project settings.
easier, i would suggest these 2 possibilities :
use wavelab "option" - "treat several files" (or something like that, i have it in french so dunno how its called in english exactly).
open all your audio files,
apply a dither fx to keep the best quality, if you dunno why, look in the help, its well explained.
then choose the destination and put the new sample and bit rate you wish.
after that, when you opened your project again with the good parameters and with the converted files in your audio folder, it should fit well.
i recommend you to save your project in a new folder temporary, in case of mistake.
2nd possibility, finish this track like it is... 44.1kHz / 16 bit would be ok i think. and be careful to put the right settings on the next.
