How do you select all the channels at once (except the master)? to take down the level for example.

If you want to lower the level of all channels
[b](mainly it is happening couse when the track is sitting right with the EQ but one (or more) of the channels is peaking over the normal db)[/b]
then you have the master channel but this is not the right way to corect couse the master won't let the channel from distortion.

Try to open the EQ channels and lower the distorted channel untill it won't peak anymore, let say you lowered it 1.2 db, now lower each channel 1.2db and just gain the master to the normal db. that way the track will stay in the same mix, but the sound will not be distorting.

I think you already know that, but if not then here we go.

there is no way afaik to lower them all at once.

actually tere is...
try assigning all the channels u want to lower thier volume to a group & then lower that group's volume... it's as simple as that.
