Hello

I am very satisfied with the Cubase SX3 in deed ...but have a couple of problems that anoys me a lot...

I use NI Kontakt-sampler for percussion, Hi´s and stuff...problem is - that when you browse samples from in the Kontakt, and test-hear the sounds, it sometimes makes this kind of very loud neverending feedback, like if u put a Hihat in every 1/64 of a bar and played it at 200 bpm ...it also can happen sometimes when I trig the sample from out the arrange..???..tried heaps of things in the audio and vst-setup, but nothing realy seems to work...

Anybody experienced this ???

Secondly, my Virus B (hardware), have some lack in the MIDI-sync, have a little problem on that issue also..??

Thanx in advance
Saimon

I would suggest to change your sampler at least till u get an answer .
I am not a cubase or Kontakt fanatic but
in general i think that neverending feedback is caused usually by neverending signal routing..

Maybe somthing s wrong with the Kontakt outputs or its just an internal bug since this shit should happen while playback too...
Post when u find the answer

As about the midi sync prob, does it happen only in qbase?
My virus c used with audiophile 24/96 works fine in cubase 3 with 384ms buffer size..
Check it on another application and if happens again reinstall ur midi interface midi drivers...

Hi Saimon,if DfD is active in kontakt, try to play around with the buffer settings in the options. Also try to use it with and without DfD.Sounds like a Ram problem............

Virus:Have you checked the sync options? Is the midiclock set correctely to the right destination?

Nice greetings

Like jupiter says it sounds like a ram problem, and can also be somekind of harddrive problem, i dont know much about harddrive problems.. lets hope i never get to know them hehe

make sure your operating system is tweakd to the max, graphical settings can save some ram i believe, so can pagefile size also do.. maybe best is to use some tweak application, i remember nolightatend posted a link to some app that looked nice, though i dont remeber which.

and about the virus i dont know much, but i heard that virus had some sync problems, though it can be soudcards midi aswell... but hopefully it is some synth settings

good luck!
