Cubase problem - quantize lines?

I've recently got this problem that is driving me nuts. It's irritating as hell! Please check http://www.geocities.com/rakmannen/r.jpg first.. As you can see, the quantization lines aren't there (the bar and beat lines). How do I get it back? I've taken back the default settings in the preferences window. I've tried to reinstall cubase. I've tried to get it back with the midi quantize options but nothing helps. I can't recall doing some major change in cubase. What caused this? Please help me out because I'm about to get a heart disease with this shit  |

well, u can set the color of just about anything in cubase. And those lines ar gray as a standard color... Now i noticed that the background is also gray... Exactly the same gray that the lines are when u don't change they're color... So i think they are present, but the same color as the background. |

THanks Fregle. It could be so! Now the question is, where do I change the background colour? I'll have to go and play floorball now but if anyone knows, please share me the info  |

Problem solved! The way was long and frustrating but at last I reached the end of the hellish tunnel. When I tried to access the appearance settings in the preferences window, cubase crashed. And after that, every time I restarted cubase and tried to open the preferences windows, it immediately got me an error message saying "a serious problem har occured..." or something like that. What solved it all was when I deleted everything in the "cubase sx 3 application data folder"... FINALLY! Now I'm ready to play around again. Thanks you Fregle and Colin OOOD for giving me a helping hand! Highly appreciated! |
