the old machine came about when fire was invented...trust me man its trusty but hes an old man and very sllllloooooowwww. looked around a little bit, and i reckon ive got some driver issues here. going to raise it to the m-audio guys |

If u use XP, try installing a Vista driver for your sc. I didn´t have the same problem as yours, but solved a weird issue here.

yeah ive tried that, and ive also chucked it through asio4all. absoltuely no luck. heres a long shot but im out of ideas: my BIOS setting is currently in PATA mode, now ive got two options to change, one is to AHCI mode and the other is RAID? any knowledge on this guys? |

ahhh... well it looks like i have relief but the worst scenerio has come true. after testing my soundcard in my old machine overnight, i received the same error which confirms that the soundcard has gone dodgy. either through switching it over to the new pc or the new pc giving it a heart attack. it was a fairly old card (6 years maybe) and maybe the new machine just killed it. so im going to spend my last pennies on a presonus firebox.... nice christmas present for myself.

WOOOOOOOOOOOAAAHHHH WOOOOAH WOOOAH! HOLD ON A SECOND HERE.
now im convinced something paranormal is going on now. done a test overnight in the new pc. without the sound card AND with the H20 version of cubase, just to see if it might be the dongle. ANd what do you know i have awoken to my best friend, the message. now what the %$#@ is going on here? im now getting error messages on both pc's now,the old machine with the soundcard that worked 2 weeks ago and the new pc with no soundcard, so this deletes my suspicions on the faulty soundcard?????? i have no internet connection on those pc's, so that rules out viruses.
im now convinced theres a ghost in the shell or theres some bizarre alien activity nearby, evil little aliens wishing to hold back the creative force.
im going to find the nearest cliff because this is driving me literally insane :shock:
i dont expect anyone to have any ideas but if anyone has any, ill be your humble servant, im getting desperate now |

hey guys,
still having the problems, but realized after coming back from my holidays, the conflict ceased to exist, some how it fixed itself over time, till i reinstalled a vst. so i uninstalled this vst again, however the message is frequenting again. it made me suspect a dodgy vst (btw its battery, and yes its warez) again but how can it still have an effect on cubase after its uninstalled, is it possible that a vst leaves some information behind after being uninstalled that is causing the conflict??? i was under the impression that you uninstall something, it gets rid of it...
btw this is on the mainboard soundcard, the error is happening wih my delta card and the motherboard sound, so its definately not a soundcard issue
