Cubase Preset Problem...

Okay this is a really obnoxious problem that seemingly came out of nowhere...
It used to be that I could have a cubase project, open a vst, load a preset, tweak it, save the PROJECT, close cubase and reopen the project and the VST would be on the same settings...
WELL NOW cubase decided that it's going to start loading the original preset settings - removing my changes..
Does anyone know why the hell this is happpening? Or How I can get my bassline back  |

wich cubase version?
i don`t know a solution for that problem..but general problems with presets not found or something can sometimes be fixed with rescanning the mediabay..C4.1...don`t know about earlier versions..
and did it just happen once with third party plugi or with vb-1?can you reproduce this bug in any way?

Yeah... I think I just figured it out.
It's with Cronox..but it did it with albino earlier today too...
I've been loading presets in the VST with the button inside of the vst instead of the little button that belongs to cubase.
Cubase SX3 by the way..
I am pretty sure its just a matter of not saving the preset and changing the vsts 'temporary memory' or whatever.. which is retarded.. but whatever.

Nice one..that won`t happen again hopefully..
but is definatly sad if you got a killer bass line..btw i never really save the presets/patches i made,maybe at an end of a track..i save everything i made twice..their usually recognized by cubase cause they are saved in the session file anyway..but maybe its kind of a little bug or something..

yeah it happens in cubase with some vsts.. Been through that.. But u learn from that that when u make a kilargh bass u save it as preset.. When track is done, everything should be backed up properly.. Its no big deal ma, I lost a couple of whole projects accidentally deleting them :-D If u made that bassline, with time u will make even better so dont worry
