So. I finished this song off with a vangaurd FX patch with dblue glitch on it. Don't tell me I'm stupid for using it haha. It's only at the end of the song.
The fx patch has a really cool delay and reverb on, but i don't want the delay and reverb to be effected by the glitch plugin. How do I automate it to turn off or how do I automate the glitch plugin to bring the mix down to zero?
I went to the vanguard automations and found "Insert 3 enable" which is where the dblue glitch is, but it doesn't do anything if I automate it to turn off or on. Maybe I'm using it wrong?

I suppose you could just automate the "mix" parameter on the glitch master output section, no ?

What I normally do to figure out automation with Cubase is:
Turn Automation Read / Write ON
Record the MIDI and turn the knobs on the VSTI you want to automate. Stop recording, and select the automation tracks. Pull down the list of automated objects and you'll see one with a * in it's name. Select that, and that is what you automated. Adjust or draw automoation to taste.
Peace. |

i suggest put glitch plugin in record mode (letter W in plugin window will be marked red) then press play and manipulate the knob you are intrested in (do it significantly because you have to see it later in automation track). Then press play again and watch the knob. If it is moving then right click on midi track (not track itsefl bu this control part of it on the left side with name etc...) and choose "show all automation for all tracks". Then you will see it somwhere down the window and you can grab it and move to firts layers of tracks. If knob is not moving as you did then this plugin does not have automation at all.
