Cubase only supporting one instance of Absynth

I've been trying to run multiple instances of Absynth in cubase (for different sounds), but cubase will only output sound from one Absynth track, and the other tracks using Absynth will just be silent. I can run any of the intsruments I'm using on the other tracks on the one track that actually produces sound, so that isn't a problem, and when I play the track, the little bar on the tracks with no noise go up and down suggesting that Cubase is recognising the midi track, but for some reason, Absynth isn't outputting any audio signal, or cubase isn't recognising it or something. I've got 4 different Absynth's in the VST instruments list, each with a different instrument on it, but only one of them actually makes a noise. This is quite irritating because I've made a ton of new sounds in Absynth I want to throw in my track, but I can't without sacrificing all the ones I want to use. What could the problem be?

Another question also, in the final EQing stages of a track, are all the midi tracks generally exported to audio, so for the final EQing you're working with only audio tracks. And also, how do you export a single midi track to audio, the only way I can seem to do it is to drag a midi track to a place on it's, set the markers and then select "mix down track".

Thanks in advance for any help.

Edit - This is Absynth 2 I'm talking about by the way.

That is because one instance of cubase has multiple outputs that can each run different patches. I don't have my music puter fired up now so I can't look to give you the exact details, but I seem to recall being able to run up to 8 different patches from the same instance, with them responding to the appropiate midi channels. Anyways, I know both Absynth 1 and 2 can do it because I have done it a million times before.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

I know it's possible, because I have multiple instances of Albino running for example, but Absynth will only run 1 instance of itself for some reason.

Edit - Problem solved, apparently Absynth needs all of the instances of itself running on the same midi track, I had them on seperate tracks.

However, the second question still stands, should I export all the midi tracks to audio tracks prior to mixing, and if so, how do I do it without having to do an audio mixdown on each one seperately (or is that the only way).

Absynth only runs one instance of itself because one instance is actually 8 instances all on the same synth (I think if you surpass 8, it will fire up a second, but I haven't actually gone over eight at once so I'm not sure). You can get them on separate channels as well. Later on I'll pull up one of my old tracks and look at the exact routing I used to do it, but I'm about to go to bed now so... Basically as I remember it, in the instrument list you add several versions on Absynth (1, 2, 3, etc) and they can each have their own midi track etc. However, all of them up to 8 I believe it was actually run out of one actual instance of the Absynth synth. You push the 1,2,3,4 etc buttons on the top of the the synth to get to each individual output and can adjust the patch and such for that "instrument" from there as normal which out affecting the others....           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

Ok, that's cool.

One other question I though'd I'd throw on here so I don't have to make a new topic, how do you tie notes together in the midi key editor, such that you can get the effect of holding down a key, but with it changing pitch. So you can make a VST instrument that, for example, has a bunch of different envelopes on it that might go for 5-6 seconds, how can you get the whole sound to play whilst still being able to actually change notes for a melody for example. I know you can sort of get that effect, by drawing a single note that goes for like 2 bars, then use pitch bend as a midi controller, but you can't really create melodies this way, just move the pitch up and down randomly.
