I have been real interested in buying a new pc to produce my tracks on, and have been mainly using cubase until now.

Now that i feel my machine is getting old, i was thinking of updating my pc. On the otherhand i have been looking and falling in love iwith a PowerPC quad G5. Then i heard that a new Power Pc would be out and now it is.

I want to continue to use Cubase to produce music, but what would be the best and hence most effective way of producing w cubase?:

1. New PC.
2. New Quad Zeon G5 power PC running OSX/Tiger and cubase for mac.
3. New Quad Zeon G5 power PC running windows XP, and when it works Cubase running on that.
4. New Quad Zeon G5 power PC running OSX/Tiger and Logic for mac.

I have used logic before and feel i wouldnt mind the switch from cubase to logic, although w my (lack of) knowledge would have to take 2 steps back, and 3 foward before im up to date w logic.

What are U guys waiting for if ur waiting to buy a new pc?

Cheers

Zeon -> Xeon.
It is an Intel processor, therefor not an IBM G5.

the machine is plain called: Mac Pro.

If you're used to Cubase stay on Cubase and get a nice new PC.
Even though today you can run Windows on a mac too.           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...
