Ever had to do a lot of exporting?
Ever had to sit there and wait for your overloaded CPU to calculate shit loads of data and then have to do it all again for the next channel and the next?

Takes a long time doesn't it?
Especcially if you finish a track and have to export all the channels for a mixdown in another studio or another file.

Wouldn't it be wicked if you could just command Cubase to export a whole lot of tracks and walk away? And come back to your tracks all exported?

That would be awesome!

Well, guess what?
I got this off the Cubase.net forum... free download

http://macro.digitalsoundmagic.com

Its a program called Macro maker, along with a file for doing exactly that.
The file has recorded Mouse movements and keybord triggers.

Basically, you export your first track to get Cubase to remember your export settings (you can actually cancel the export as soon as it starts....

Then you open macro Maker, and execute the file. It then proceeds to mixdown as many channels in a row as you command it to.

I've been using it and it works.

You will have to make a fine adjustment to it though...

*Once downloaded, follow the readme instructions to load the files into Macro Maker.

*The person who made it had their export audio function set to "Z" key command. You can either edit their file which is easy, to trigger your own key command, or set your Cubase keycommand to "Z".

*The other adjustment is when you open Macro maker, move it up to the top right of your screen, or over to your second monitor, This is so it doesn't get in the way of the first automated mouse click.

*Another thing you have to do is edit the "Export Audio Batch" section of the Macro Maker file to tell it how many times to execute the macro loop.
If you want to export 15 channels, set it to 15, and then go to cubase and put all those channels in order, and solo the first channel (top channel)

Hope it saves you some time for coffee, walking, poontang, whatever you desire... I've been getting plenty since I got it...coffee that is

It probably won't work on other programs but it can be adjusted to.

If you download it and learn a bit about how to use Macro maker, you can make it do anything.

It's about freaking time. Orion has been able to bounce down individual ordered tracks for YEARS.

Bitter? Maybe. All those years ago I almost had a heart attack when I learned Logic 5 didn't support offline bouncing.

guess you guys would be very happy about many possibilities offered by so called macros, macros are like little programs not so hard to create even for profanes with a little bit of trainig, you can tell a macro to do many many things like switch your pc off, do this do that, export this, if you didn't know about it make some research about the possibilities offered by macros, they quite reliable: i use them in my job
