Hey guys! I hv installed a lot of vsts (like 70) in my pc but some weird thing is happening! Every time i try to open my cubase , when the vsts are loading (That Cubase splash screem..) suddently a box open saying that cubase found a problem and needs to close! This just happens when i hv those vsts installed, otherwise everything goes fine! I tried many versions of cubase, like 2, 2.0.1, 2.0.2.31, 2.2.0.33 but none of those worked for me! I also use fruit loops and its all fine there, no problems! I dont know why, but it seems for me that cubase is too vulnerable to errors.. I hv been trying to turn from fruit to cubase, i know how to use it, but those errors really sucks, when is not this one is another.. Please, does anyone know how can i avoid this f-u-c-k-i-n-g cubase problem ?!

My philosophy about "the cubase problem" has been "don't use it" for quite a few years.
But thats maybe not what you want to hear...and I can see the flames coming...so never mind
But if you haven't learnt the software already, maybe it's worth having a look at the options if it gives you problem already?           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)

I forgot to say that the box that appears doesnt make the program not work, only if i choose to close (the only option),then the box and cubase close.. If i do not close the box, the screem keeps loading the vsts (i think are more then 100 maybe ) and open cubase normally, i can work there, open projects and even save.. but with this ERROR BOX opened.. if i close it cubase will close!
Got it?!
Thank u guys, help please! =)

I use Cubase Sx for some time, and I´m pretty happy with this program!

Maybe it´s some conflict between a vst and Cubase(are u using original Cubase?), cause it seems that u have many vst instaled on your pc... Try to install only the one u will REALLY use... 70 vst´s seems to be too much.

Take a try!           LOADING...

perhaps 1 or more of your vsts are buggy and crashing cubase.

I agree. If Cubase works fine without all those VSTs and crashes when they're there, it's a problem with one of the VSTs.

Try moving them all out of the VSTPlugins folder, then moving them back in 5 at a time, starting Cubase each time to see which group of 5 plugins makes it crash - this is quicker than doing it one plugin at a time if you have a lot. Once Cubase has crashed you know it is one of the 5 plugins you just moved back to the VSTPlugins folder. Then move them out of the folder one at a time until the program starts fine - you know then that the plugin you just moved is the one that was making the program crash! Delete it or uninstall it. Then carry on with moving 5 at a time back into the VST plugins folder - you never know, there might be more than one bad plugin!

SMS is right though, you only want to install the plugins you're actually going to use.

Good luck...           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Yeah, do it like Colin said

Many vsts give problems, so you should never install too many vsts at once, or you won't know wich one caused the problem, just like happened to u...

I think it is really easy to be a VST junkie, I used to be one. I was having problems similar to yours so I went through and go rid of all VST's I did'nt use. Life is better for me now, everything runs smoother and it is eaiser to find the vst you want without scrolling through menus, and cubase opens faster. My advice is find your favorite soft synths, ones that don't crash and that sound good then use and abuse them. Boom           http://soundcloud.com/chemical-reaction

I thoroughly agree with what Chemical Reaction said. I was also a VST junkie and it took me a while to really figure out what vsts really work well and I could use. Now I only have about 10-15 that I have installed, and only 7 that I actually use.. Logic loads faster now and I can now spend more time abusing the ones I know rather than hunting through the bunch that I can't use very well.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
