I used cubase on Vista for a while and I didn't have any problems creating tracks, but then again I was using Cubase 4. Since then I've gone back to XP due to some audio interace communication issues I was having.
Maybe if you could give us some more details, such as does it happen when you are playing back the track, does it stop happening when you have the track stopped?
Does it happen when you have a new song with no tracks loaded.
It may simply be because your song is too full and working your cpu too hard...?
It's hard to say, just try some different scenerios and see if you can narrow down when it happens. You may want to say something on the Cubase.net forum as well.

everything here on vista just works fine...so i dont want to downgrade to xp these days..

itīs just allways. For example, i got an empty project and want to create some audio or midi tracks, it just needs 5-7 sec. till it creates...or if i click on created tracks it also needs that time..
everything else in cubase is just fine..

umm what are your computer specs?
make sure you got a good 512 or 1g of ram.
