Hi all,
I use Cubase for a long while and since sometime ago each day Cubase is not recognizing the installed plugins at the same original folder since I bought the pc (and never changed it).
Now, each day I open my projects, I can t play the track once a lot of plugins are considered missed by the sequencer. I ve checked and they re stilll there at the folder they were installed, I ve tryed refreshing the cubase plugins folder inside Cubase, and nothing changes....
Has it ever heapenned to someone here?
Should I reinstall Cubase? If I install it will the projects be kept at same projects folder or do I have the risk of cubasing erasing the projects?
Thanks...

try maybe making a second vst folder, and copy all the dlls to that folder, then change the vst folder inside cubase...
maybe some vsts might require re-authentication...thats why its better to leave the original folder intact, in case you wanna go back...
just a idea, not sure at all if it could work..
good luck!

Hey ess765,
Just to confirm for you that you can uninstall and reinstall Cubase Sx3 without losing your projects.
I just reinstalled and have no issues.
But remember, always backup your work to be on the safe side. I always keep my Projects folder in a different location than my Program Files.
Ive also previously reinstalled Cubase without deleting my VST`s and when Cubase reloaded, so did all of the VST`s.
Hope this helps.
