cubase keeps Instalizing waves plugins at start up

how do i stop cubase loading up my waves plugins at start up..its doing my absolute nut in..i use ableton for design and cubase for arrangement no problems there, cubase has to initialize the whole shell every time - it aint quick about it either.. im using a shared vst folder.. any idea .. thanks

if you using cubase 5 you can't do anything.
cubase 6(maybe 5.5 not shore) and higher fix this problem and other problems.
and i know it's so nerd when it rescan Everytime
the vst plugins folder.
i'm not shore but try to make cubase 5 update to 5.5
maybe in this version they fix this problem

If it is in your vst folder it will always scan it I think.
You could make a separate folder for cubase and copy all the files without the waves plugs.

i am on cubase 6 and my cubase scan only when new vst plugins install.
like i say maybe it fixed on 5.5

good point , would be nice tho just in case i had to use a wave plugin in cubase tho rather than ableton - i hate ablton for its arrangment, everything is so closed in it feel..hmm il give the update a go and see what happens,, thanks anyways u lot
