there is no real offline processing thats the only bad thing with logic imo...
but you got the basic things like time stretch, reverse etc.
about that acapella stuff, there are also better ways to get them in sync..with this way, you get strange time variations in your track which is probably not what you want its mostly meant for non-electronic music. for trance its better to sync the acapella to your track.

Yes thats waht i want it to do sync external loops or big audio files(acapellas) to my tempo, is it easy to do in logic?
I am really afraid going logic and have to learn everything from scratch OR BEING LESS CAPABLE TO ELECTRONICA THAN CUBASE on the other hand I have cubase on a mac with several bugs and performance problems which made me go mac and leave PC buggy O.S. |

syncing audio files is kinda easy, but it really depends wether you got time variations in that file or if the tempo of it is constant. the easiest way is with apple loops, you just drag them in your project and they re automatically synced to your tempo. now if your audiofile got a constant tempo, you can simply make an apple loop out of it.
with time variations its a bit more difficult, but I think thats nowhere "easy" with good results (except maybe ableton live)
and you dont have to learn everything from scratch if you re already familiar with cubase...they re not thaat different, you mostly need to learn where the things are

there is a known bug where the external input plugin does not correcly compensate for PDC
http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=18461&highlight=external+instrument+plugin
that being said, even when using the workaround, I still have to use a minus delay to get the MIDI in sync.
Logic's offline bounce is also said to have some problems, and from time to time I get a bad render. other than that from what I have heard Logic's mixing engine is considered to be on of the best, and described as 'warm' compared to Protools and Cubase. However in other discussions I have heard Cubase to be described as clear, and Live to be kind of harsh. So there are definitely different opinions out there, and perhaps subtle differences between them all, but since people are making music with them, they all would seem to have their merits which are probably more work flow related.
The common opinion though is PC=Cubase, Sonar; Mac= Logic, DP. Certainly each maker is focussing development for certain platforms. Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!
