Hi i just started making music on cubase, dont know much about the technical part of it but the traks ive made sound really empty. I have put the volume really loud on my speakers to get a decent volume, even when i convert the file to mp3. I've put filters and compression on the traks as well.(dont know whether that effects that). The track also sounds pretty empty, bass wise and when i put up the bass the sound clips from the master.

Thats my quetion, dont know if u understood what i mean but anyone who did can you please help me out.
thanks

hello vivan,

take it easy- if you just started don't expect to get it perfect- anyway, did you use EQ for the bass? try cutting some of the very low freuencies from the bass-(try cutting from 35-40) make sure you choosed a good and quality kick drum that fit with the type of bass you choosed or vice versa- high quality kick drum can do a big difference so make sure you find some-
also, you better have some kind of professional sound card for making music and some type of acoustics in your room- and of course a studio monitors speakers- take it all together and keep working hard and you are on the way
