my system and configuration is: SoundBlaster 128 PCI (yes i know it is shit but please dont tell me what, I already know!) , 128 RAM, pentium 800 ... In cubase I hear sound only in full duples mode, I can't hear sound in multimedia drivers !

PLEASE help me, I just can't work in cubase because this problem !

you have to make a test to your buffer in cubase :

go to --> Start --> programs --> steinberg Cubase --> asio multimedia setup --> advanced options...

check that the sample rate will be on 44100Hz
check in input & output that they are selected properly with the 'X' mark on them.
now stand on each device at a time and select 'detect buffer size' button
after that stand on each device and perform 'Check buffers and sync' button, put the test period on 200 sec.and press start.
after finishing that press the 'Run simulation' button (on the right top).
If everything works properly then i think it should work.

hope i helped you

Do you work with Cubase SX?
Cubase SX works with Win 2000/XP only!

P.s

Try to update your sound driver!           Just listen...

injection i have 2 versions of what could happen:
this sounds like a general slowdown of your computer - when it slows down even sound becomes chopped.
u better check out what programs you start automatically and disable/close them
(like icq, odigo, aim, office stuff, real player, winamp agent, antivirus, firewall etc. etc. etc.)
because u have not much RAM.
u can also add some RAM and i believe this problem will go away.

another hypothesis is: you have millions of plugins.
some of them don't work well with others, so when u work on a project, don't install all the possible plugins, but just the stuff you use in the track. if u need something else - install it too, but don't have everything on the computer,

actually it maybe some particularly f***ed up plug that eats your memory.

hope i helped ...
gimme feedback.

Its the sound card, if it does not support the asio/easi drivers you would have bad sounds, also it it not a good sound card.

I dont think its the ram(even though you should upgrade), you only use 2 or 3 audio channels.

Try to Uninstall the sound card driver :
goto Control Panel --> System --> Device manager --> Double click on 'Sound, Video and ...
press where you see your sound card and press Remove
Now turn off your computer
open the body of the pc
try to put the sound card as far as you can (in the Slots) from the graphic card.
Turn on your pc
Install the sound card driver
And then do what i told you to to in the last post i made.

It should work, goodluck.           Don't Let Yourself Get Attached To Anything

What about latensity in Cubase? I don't know this prog too good, but if the latensity has the same structure as Reason then try to make it bigger.
But i don't know exactly. Let someone correct me if i am wrong           The Future is Here Now ENJOY
