You need some sort of a sound source. It can be a synth or a VSTi. Assuming you don't have a synth, go to the VST instruments, and choose your VSTi. Make a MIDI track and route it to one of the VSTi channels, and start writing. If you have no idea what I just said, try to read the help files. Steinberg did a great job writing them. |

ok, when i write this i assume u know how to play keyboard! when u open a new song on cubase u get 8 audio tracks & 16 midi tracks(default!). now if u dont have a remote midi keyboard (after routing the track to a vsti) go to the working area, left click , choose the pencil and draw a bar or two or whateveron a midi channel, now double click it & on the window that opens choose the pencil again & start writing... then play it & WALLA! u have a lead or whatever it is u wrote. if u have a remote midi keyboard' connect it(make shore cubase gets its signal...) , push record & play the keyboard.(use the metronome 4 beat). hope this helps! |
