Do not maximize the cubase window, but rather, drag the corner to resize it to the second monitor. You must do this to the overall cubase window, and then you can arrange the seperate modeless windows inside cubase in any fashion you see fit.           Keep The Faith,

that's the only way that I know of. If you have dual screen with different resolutions... it's going to suck ass.

This may not be of any help due to your vid card but if you have nVidia and the nView program you can use it to lock the window to fit both monitors. You have to enable an option that puts some buttons on your top bar.

you should be able to drag windows such as the mixer and vst's etc over to the other window, any windows that are separate from the main project windows. I don't have room right now but when I had 2 monitors I'd keep the mixer and a spectrum analyzer up in one plus some vst's and the other was just for sequencing.           ~Airyck~

anything you want to drag out of the cubase, like plugins mixer etc...etc..

right click on the item, and mark the "always on top" option, and than it should work .           www.myspace.com/vibetribestudio

yap cubase sux big time on this matter i agree , altho its just will be like this in many programs im in the same situation. so not only cubase sux , alot others too.
tho they all work good if u have same resolution screens.
the only way to work in cubase for me is to have the vst synths and the (rather useless ) mixer on the 2nd screen , rather then use dharma lab method , wich i found extremly annoying me since it makes me loose alot on the big screen.          www.sattelbattle.com

Well basically this is how it goes.

I opened cubase sx or 4 for the first time on dual screen.

I drag the initial screen to the size of both screens.

I then open a new project, set the project up as i want it to look over 2 screens.

Screen 1 (left) has arrange page full.
Screen 2 (right) has mixer full.

Save as template (with all your other settings also) and thats it.

every time u start a new tune the cpr will be split over 2 screen exactly as you like it
