If you're talking about discounts, you can get Cubase Studio (not just Cubase) for $200 less. You can also probably get a light edition included with a piece of hardware from a lot of retailers that might get you $100 off for an upgrade..you'll have to check the Steinberg website. There are a lot of older versions on eBay (SX3 and Cubase 4) for sale for $200-300 less than a new Cubase 5.
If you're talking about getting it for free, either enter a lot of giveaway contests, find a rich friend to support you, or go to the usual places and pirate. We can't tell you how to do the latter here.
  You believe in the users?
Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

If you install bootcamp and install windows on ur macbook pro ull get better results using cubase.
Cubase works better in PC. For mac... try using logic. If your looking to buy the software might be cheaper for PC than it is for mac.
I have tried lookin for a dmg for cubase on the net and haven't found one that works properly.

if you are a student you can get academic version of C5 for 300USD. if you are not, find a student friend and ask him to buy the software for you.
