simple question, i'm sure the answer is also simple.... me and a mate have been trying to figure out how to play FL patterns through cubase. we can route a midi channel to a single insturment in FL.. but we cannot play an entire pattern. im not sure if im explaining this well or not, hopefully someone knows |

you need to arrange the patterns on FL playlist...
if you have FL&Cubase synced.. if not then youll have to export midis and paste them to cubase |

The easiest way to do this is to open up FL as a VSTi in Cubase..FL will then be automatically synced to FL so when you press play in cubase it play your pattern in FL as well..hope this helps..

kirna - so the only way is to arrange patterns in the playlist...
well at least its a good way to audition the loops and see if they fit with the rest of the arrangement...
i thought a good idea would to be able to select FL pattern 1 to FL channel 1 in cubase... and so on.
S-Cube, but im only able to choose one channel from FL and not a whole pattern to be played.
all this is a little new to me, and pH_ aswell |

Well i don't understand what you guys want to do exactly..If you want to be able to play multiple fruity channels with cubase then just set up your patterns in the playlist in fruity as usual..When you play your cubase song all the patterns from fruity will play along as well..
Are you sure you're just opening fruity as a VSTi? I'm not sure if it works the same way in rewire mode..

S-Cube - yes its FL as vsti..
you see the thought was that it would be great if you could play a whole pattern on one channel in cubase..
like FL pattern 1 goes to FL channel 1 in cubase.. so you could have a whole groove/pattern on that channel.. and not just a single instrument from one pattern i FL.
like mapping patterns to channels in cuabse...
also one more thing, why dosent FL start playing right away when you hit play in cubase? i see that this "time offset" has something to do with it, but i cant seem to find out to make it play right away...

Ahh ok i get what you mean now..Well afaik (correct me if i'm wrong) there isn't a way to do that..
Why don't you just set up your patterns in the playlist in FL as you would do in a normal song?
As for your 2nd question it does start playing right away but the play bar is not in sync in FL but it doesn't really make a difference i think..
