I've got few questions:
1. Under the fader of each chanel of cubase there are numbers that related to the volume.
As well for the master fader.
Can somebody once and for all can explain me what is the diffrence bitween each number?
i understand that the bottom number is like the default option for the fader volume. But what is excaly the upper number?
2. When people say for example that kick have to bee around -5db where shuold i see it? at the fader of the kick or at the master fader when i put it on solo? i thought it is showing the same thing but yesterday when i was working on my project i noticed that my kick fills for me too low at the volume but it was showing -3 at the kick fader but -12 at the maser fader on solo.
3.What is the industry standard of working for sample rate 48000 or 44100?

1) the upper one of the two is the actual output in db. click on the number to refresh it.
2) solo the sound; then in the cubase mixer (F3 if i am not mistaken) you can see the active channel. click on the top number to refresh it and there you have the actual output. Pull/ push the fader to get it to the wanted output. Refresh when needed. Correct me if I am wrong but i think the output number on the masterchannel is only different if it is not set to 0 (default).
3)44100 is the standard for cds. |

I thought also that the number at the mastervolume would be the same as the number of each other channel on solo but apparently it's not...
Anyway thanks for your comment |

at the kick channel it's showing +2db but on the master channel it's showing -10db! (it fills to me -10 and not +2....) maybe it is realy something about the panning... |

i found what happened. i've put the kick into kickbass group and than into master group (wich all the groups going to) so the master group was quadro and that's why the volume dissapeared. problem solved. |
